Following in our recent stream of successes and awards opportunities, we are really pleased to have also been shortlisted in the Federation of Small Businesses Awards for International Business of the Year!

The awards recognise and celebrate the huge contribution that smaller businesses and the self-employed make to the UK. As innovators, economic drivers and the backbone of our communities, the FSB passionately believe that it is small businesses that embody the creativity and resilience that fuels the UK’s prosperity.

Collingwood has been selected for the International Business of the Year Award in recognition of our recent transition from small theatre company to international educational consultancy, with the growth and development of our flagship education programme, The Smashed Project, which uses educational theatre as a learning tool to educate young people on alcohol misuse.

With the project set to accelerate to reach 1.5m young people next year, the awards acknowledge that Collingwood have created a unique funding model for corporate sponsorship with an equally innovative ‘creative franchise’ scheme which enables the project to cross borders rapidly and reach thousands of young people. Something of which, we are of course very proud!

The final is due to take place at The Principal Hotel in York on Friday 3rd April (Coronavirus allowing) so we’ll let you know in due course how we get on!
